Souderton, Franconia, Telford and Doylestown will feature the Univest Grand Prix. The race, now in its 14th year, has been newly awarded the highest national ranking by USA Cycling because of its challenging racecourse, technical excellence and strong media coverage. This event features two spectacular professional bike races over a two day period. With international recognition and riders coming from Italy, Mexico, Holland, Poland, France, and many more, this is a big deal!
The cyclists will tackle 12 laps of a 6.5-mile circuit, followed by five laps of a 4.5-mile finishing loop. That is one heck of a course totaling 100 miles and cyclists will be climbing the hills on Wile Avenue and Second Street 34 times as they fight for the win. I am out of breath just writing about it! In addition to the professional race, there will be kid’s races, a family festival and expo in Souderton. For more information on entering your child in the races or to see the schedule of events, click here. So be sure to stop by, cheer on the cyclists, and enjoy the day of fun in Souderton!
